CULTURAL– HISTORIC HERITAGE

The story is associated with the Thracian that had formed, on our lands with the ancientness as the kin community in 11-millennium bc. and had entered actively in the policy biography to the european southeast until the close of the antiquity

THE RELIGION

            The traditionally religion is the east orthodoxy in the territoryof Saedinenie municipality . The church "st.Dimitar" temple was located in Dragomir village. In 2005 year, it uses the grounds of the already existing temple"St.Dimitar" patriotic residents of Dragomir  with own contributions and the contributions revived the temple again that was santifyed to 08. 05. 2005 from the metropolitan Arsenii of Plovdiv.
The church "st. st.Petar and Pavel" temple is built in Nayden Gerovo village in 1939 year. The church is raised largely from contributions to the locals.
The temple "st. Dimitrii"-Tseretelevo village is built in 1865-1867 year. In the 14 indiction is santifyed in 1875 year from Stobiyskiat bishop Sinesii.
The church "St.Petka" in Golyam Chardak village is built in 1850. The iconostasis to the temple and icons are decorated from actor from Levochevo in the same year. In 2000 year due to active committee the underlying repair of the temple and "Petkov den” as well was resantifyed personally from his highly the metropolitan Arsenii of Plovdiv.

CULTURE

The only cultural institutions of Saedinenie municipality are community centres. On 10 community centres and one museum collection that is located in Saedinenie town function in the municipality. Their goal is they to fulfill the needs of the population relevant With :

  • Development and enrichment to the cultural life;
  • Preservation the bulgarian customs and traditions;
  • Extending the knowledge to the population and his belonging to the valuables to the science, the art, and the culture;
  • Education and confirming the national self-consciousness;
  • Forming ethnic and religious tolerance

The National community centre “Unification” is most old from community centres in the municipality- the Saedinenie town, founded in 1875 year. His fathers are: Lambi Atanasov - first chairperson, schoolmaster –Enyo Bekirski, priest Ivan Genov, Peter Antonov, Petko Lapkov, Gerdzhiiski and other.
The building is built in 1956 year with resources for self-taxation volunteer labour from population and contribution with NedyalkaShileva - heroine from Unification.
The bibliothecal activity, amateur art activities  and culturally mass activity are developed in the years. The library has of 18 500 tomes-books at the community centre.
The community centre “Saedinenie” support five dance ensembles and two vocal groups.
The National community centre “Iskra” in Dragomir village is made in 23. 10. 1931 at initiative of young educator-Peter Boev and some awake youth from the village. The circulating library at the community centre has altogether 6 750 tomes-books to a today ' s date. The local holidays and the customs, hold by the community centre:
“Trifon’s Day” – 14.02 - The day is commemorated at the viticulturist with ceremonially" triming" the vineyard, because the region is viticulturists in tradition.
The spring carnival “Dzhumal” – 22 march / in the bygone/.
Local fair  on 06 may  - St. George's Day
The National community centre "Father Paisii" is founded in 1930, Nedelevo village. The beginning is put with given books and with subscribe to newspapers and magazines of contributors in his library. The "Koledarki" and "Lazarki" customs are held with children annually. Holding in the local fair became tradition in 02. 06. Through this year shape and  function of dance ensemble to the community centre.
The National community centre “Svetlina” in Pravishte village is created in 1927 by lead to priest Atanas. The grounds of the new library building are given in 1957 year and same is open officially to 24. 05. 1962 year.
In Tseretelevo village the National community centre "Hristo Smirnensli" in 27. 09. 1927 year is founded. In the moment the community centre sets public circulating library and develops from culturally- mass activity. There is constructed museum collection with historic and domestic nook.
The National community centre “Obzornik” in Golyam Chardak village in 1927 year is founded and his building is built in 1936 year. The activity of the community centre expresses in exporting lectures from the teachers of science subject in the first years. The public library was taken today.

In 1927 year in Malak Chardak village the National community centre "Hristo Smirnenski" of initiative to educator-Ivan Kisyakov is founded. The holiday is the local fair that is commemorated in the village in St. George's Day. The local authentic folklore is stored by senior humans that execute complex folk songs during the local reviews and customs.
The National community centre “Napredak” is founded in 1927 year in Lyuben village. The library is made. The community centre participated at holding to the fair the village and another holidays with local meaning.
The National community centre “Arh. Andonov” is founded in 1928 year in Tsarimir village. At the beginning the community centre has been holding theater activity and the library board took a public circulating library now and it participates actively in holding the local "Mufkanica" and"Todor’s Day" customs.
The National community centre “Hristo Smirnenski” in Nayden Gerovo village features circulating library and subserves for continuing the traditions to the local customs and holidays.

LOCAL TRADITIONS AND CUSTOMS

Local custom "KUMATA" happens in Saedinenie town in 23 and 24 april- there are “St. Lazar's Day” and “Palm Sunday” over 100 year tradition. It is unique and is distinguished from leftover “St. Lazar's Day” customs with their costumes and their way to happening.
The costumes are wholly authentic and submit from generation to generation. Only leader "KUMA" differs from remainder with different costume alone.     
"KUMATA" is spring female custom reflecting the relation on the young girls to the beauty and the diligence showed with the clothings in the songs that sing out . The custom happens in visiting to the homes where the girls sing in accompaniment for a good health and rich. The songs are authentic merry and playful. The girls convoke to “Todor’s Day” and vote "KUMATA" by lot and the round dance is done each sunday so on nearest meadow until her home. After visiting “St. Lazar's Day” and “Palm Sunday”  was made the big round dance to the square. On it which chap to which lass is himself takes is looked. The custom is changed so in holiday for the entire town.
The custom"KUDI" is the winter man's custom, it reflects the relation on young man to the diligence. The only custom happens in visiting at the homes the girls that is done to surface the dressed lads, healthy and strong, ready for labor and retaliation to the turkish oppressor. So it had become possible and the young the family visits to the dear girl, he to meet together with her close and shows his regard for her with outplaying as well young badinages.
The custom "KUDI" continues two days as starting the visiting the evening previously “Vassil’s Day” is, it continues in the entire night and finishes out to another day late for afternoon with peoples and funs for the entire population.
Due to the kept in the centuries folk art and customs, the bulgarian people has made to keep its nationality and originality. One of the senior national custom that is celebrated in Tsarimir village is "Mufkanica", called "Vlasov’s Day"still. That custom is expression of honoring to the cows and the bullocks, the best helpers with the last of agricultural workers. It is being called still"day of the bullock good health" therefore. It is being called still "Day of the bullock health" therefore. It celebrate on 11 feb. Start with lighting large fire from the biggest men in the village. To this day the women knead loafs, the lasses make pies and the all meet together around the fire. The young males hop the fire for health. In heat to the games and the people around the fire, the prettiest village lass is stolen. They grab the lass from the round dance, mount her on cart with beautiful horse and takes her in the home of lad. The bulgarian holiday "Todor’s Day" that is the traditional holiday for the residents of Saedinenie town and Tsarimir village was commemorated on the bound of the winter and the spring.
In the notion of the people "Todor’s Day” connects with “st. Todor"- one of the three great fighter to dragons that he hops to beautiful white horse with pike in hand dispels the black forces in the winter.
The are horse-races with put horses in attractive disciplines are carry out. The greatest interest provokes the horses races. The ritual breads and the loafs for the good health of  horses and for the rich in the year are served on “Todor’s Day”.
